In Lakota tradition, the Red Road symbolizes a life of harmony and balance. Guided by the prayer “Mitákuye Oyás’iŋ”—“All my relations”—this path serves as a reminder of our sacred interconnectedness.
The story of the Red Road is a call to live authentically and with integrity. Through every film we create, we strive to evoke connection, understanding, and truth so that we may journey closer on this path, together.

Behind the camera
Kersten is a writer and director based in North County San Diego. Raised across cultures in the United States, Japan, and Germany, her upbringing among diverse people, places, and languages formed the beginning of a lifelong curiosity seeking universal truths. She has written and directed two short films and a series of short legacy docs. As the founder of Red Road Films, she is passionate about building a creative community of artists to create meaningful stories through cinema.
